Leslie was born October 21, 1979 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Pam (Walzel) and John Jones. She passed away May 5, 2014 at her residence.
Leslie excelled in athletic events. She enjoyed playing softball, but she also participated in the baseball league, and was a cheerleader in high school. In today’s world, Leslie most enjoyed all of the activities with her own children.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelsey Dawn Otteson of Lufkin; son, Carson Nikolaus Otteson of Lufkin; parents, John and Pam Jones of Forest, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Derek L. and Alfreda Jones of Lufkin; grandmother, Wilma Dean Jones of Forest; and very special friend, Justin Haverland.
Memorial donations in Leslie’s memory may be made to the Family Crisis Center of East Texas, (Women’s Shelter), P. O. Box 510, Lufkin, TX 75902.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
