Margaret Marie Bolton

Services for Marie Broomfield Bolton, 89, of Lufkin, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Maynard Phillips and Pastor Mark Youngblood officiating. Interment will follow in Gann Cemetery.

Mrs. Bolton, the daughter of the late Odessa (Smothers) and Chester Finch, was born March 13, 1928 in Chipley, FL and passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Lufkin.

She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family and especially loved all the grandchildren. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She also enjoyed singing.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Wood and Lonnie; son and daughter-in-law, Cecil Broomfield and Mary Jane; daughters and sons-in-law, Joann Phillips and Maynard and Bonnie Campbell and Garry; son and daughter-in-law, John Broomfield and Barbara; daughter and son-in-law, Janet Johnson and Bobby; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Janice Finch.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John C. Broomfield; second husband, James Bolton; daughter, Lynda Wood; grandson, Bradley Matthews; great-granddaughter, Jessica Sigler; and brothers, Crawford Finch and Bobby Finch.

Pallbearers will be Randy Broomfield, Rick Reed, William Wooten, Steven Johnson, Jakob Holder and Eryk Holder.

Honorary pallbearer will be Garry Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Joseph House, 5783 FM 841, Lufkin, TX 75901.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
