Margaret Louise Guillory Sessum

Margaret Louise (Guillory) Sessum, 65, of Etoile, was born July 9, 1944 in Mamou, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Mae (Deshotel) and John Howard Guillory. She passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. Sessum was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She has worked at Newton Development and Swain & Baldwin Insurance as a computer programmer and at Woodland Heights Medical Center as a Registered Radiologic Technician. She enjoyed cooking, arrow-head hunting, fishing and dancing. She was a Catholic.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Sessum; daughters, Leora Louise Traylor, Cynthia Ann Fondren and Jeanne Gail Malone; stepsons and their wives, David and Shari Sessum, James and Holly Sessum and Ricky and Jamie Sessum; stepdaughters and their husbands, Cindy and George Peoples and Donna and Mark Oliver; 21 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a number of other family members.

Pallbearers will be David Sessum, James Sessum, Ricky Sessum, James Malone, Mark Oliver and George Peoples.

Honorary pallbearer will be Vernon Havard.

Graveside services for Mrs. Sessum will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 in the Blue Springs Cemetery in Etoile, with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
