Marie M. Bane

Marie Marguerite Bane was born on February 9, 1927 to George and Bertie Busby of Blox, Texas, and passed away on November 17, 2018, in Lufkin, Texas. She grew up in a home with seven siblings, four brothers and three sisters. Marie was married to Son Landers from 1946 to 1960 and had four children, Linda, Louis, Jr., Margaret, and Debbie. In 1961, Marie remarried to Bobby Bane and had two children, Dianna and Joy. She worked at Temple Industries most of her life until retiring in 1987.

Marie enjoyed being with her family. Many weekends were spent playing 42 with her siblings or regular dominoes with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking for her family, especially when it came time to bake coconut and chocolate pies for the holidays.

Marie is survived by her brother, Clayton Busby, and two sisters, Georgia May Curry and Ruth Durham. She is also survived by her children, Linda Wright of Lufkin, Louis Landers, Jr. of Diboll, Margaret Landers of Diboll, Debbie (and Richard) Luce of Huntsville, Dianna (and David) Srygley of Corpus Christi, and Joy (and Bobby) Reed of Maryville, TN. In addition, she is survived by grandchildren, Todd Wright, Gavin (and Cari) Wright, Jennifer Luce, Kyle Srygley, MaKenzie Srygley, Alli Srygley, Faith Reed, Hollon Reed, Wendy Reed, and Graham Reed. Great grandchildren are Brittany, Logan, Landon, and Londyn Wright, and Bailey Dendy and one great-great grandchild, Rhett McGilberry.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents, George and Bertie Busby, siblings, Leonard Busby, Doyle Busby, D.L. Busby, Sara Beth Reynolds, and husband Bobby Bane.
