Marlene Levelle Glenn

Services for Levelle Glenn, 81, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Mark Newton officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Mrs. Glenn was born November 19, 1936 in Hudson, Texas, the daughter of the late Susan (Weeks) and Donald Franklin Lester. She passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Glenn was employed with Lufkin Industries as a data processer, retiring following 30+ years of employment. Following her retirement from Lufkin Industries, she worked for Story Wright Office Supply Company. Mrs. Glenn was a member of Lufkin’s First Baptist Church for more than 40 years.

Survivors include her husband of more than 50 years, Martin Glenn of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Martye and John Fluth of Del Rio; grandchildren, Craig Fluth and fiancée Martha Chaudhary of Edinburg, Kent Fluth and fiancée Addie Williams of Austin, and Chad Fluth of San Antonio; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Glenn was preceded in death by her son, Randall Keith Glenn; 6 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Pallbearers will be Chad Fluth, Kent Fluth, John David “J.D.” Redfield, Dr. Jimmy Redfield, Roger Parker and Rocky Thigpen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Reverend Dr. John Fluth, Craig Fluth and Robert “Bobby” Byers.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. Thursday until service time at the funeral home.
