Martha Minton

Services for Martha Minton, 77, of Lufkin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Stanley officiating. Interment will follow in the Conner Cemetery in Houston County.

Mrs. Minton was born July 17, 1940 in Lufkin, TX, the daughter of the late Jewel (Snowden) and Harvey Ray Reynolds, and passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 in a Lufkin hospital.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a long time member of First Assembly of God Church in Lufkin. She loved taking pictures and sewing.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Martha Ann and Eddie Peveto and Jeana Pauline and Hank Langston, all of Lufkin; granddaughter and husband, Maranda and Ryan Hightower of Brookeland; grandson, Tony Grimes of CA; granddaughter and husband, Angela and Joseph McGrath; grandson, Kaleb Langston of Lufkin; great-grandchildren, Austin Loving, Mason Loving, Hunter Hightower, Tyler McGrath, Jackson McGrath, Payton Grimes, and Riley Carter; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Jerry Williams of Pollok; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Charles Ted “Pete” Minton; grandson, Charles Michael Peveto; and two brothers.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
