Services for Mary Magline Horton, 79, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2015 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Bryan Lipscomb officiating. Interment will follow in the Wallace Chapel Cemetery.
Mary passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015. She lived most of her life in southeast Texas and for the past 7 years, she has resided in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
Mary was born on October 24, 1935 in Dayton, Texas. She was the daughter of the late John and Gracie Keen and wife of the late Marshall G. Horton.
Mary is survived by her sons, Glen Horton, Sr. and Timmy Horton; grandchildren, Glen Jr., Andrew and Jennifer; and great granddaughter, Timber.
Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chelmsford, Massachusetts and enjoyed Sunday brunches with her friends.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary’s memory may be made to the Providence Baptist Church, 4423 Ted Trout Drive, Lufkin, TX 75904.
