Mary Catherine Sessions Oldham

Mary Catherine (Sessions) Oldham, 78, of Pollok, was born May 18, 1933 in College Station, Texas, the daughter of the late Jessie Oleta (Phipps) and Hugh Sessions. She passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 in a Nacogdoches hospital.

Mrs. Oldham was retired from the Lufkin State School. She loved her family very much. She collected teddy bears, angels, and thimbles and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and baking. Mrs. Oldham was a member of Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Amanda Oldham of Nacogdoches, Kent and Cindy Oldham of Wells, and Kerry and Nancy Oldham of Pollok; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Angie Angers of Kerrville; grandchildren, Cassie Schroeder, Chris Durrett, Matthew Oldham, Beverly Oldham, Randy Coe, Tracy Coe, Ashley Chandler, Susan Simmons, Traci Jones, Melanie Martin, Angelia Conway and Kelly Snyder; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Kylie, and Landon Schroeder, Andrew, Addison and Annie Coe, Cort Conway, Gabe, Nivlac Jr., Luke and Mary Simmons, Jodie, Gracie and Alyssia Jones, Haley and Braden Ramirez, Miciah Dittman and Skyler Frears; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Nell Sessions of Lufkin, David Sessions of Lufkin, and Gale and Shirley Sessions of Lake Cherokee; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and LeRoy Smith of Pollok; and a number of other family members.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Oldham was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry and Cliff Sessions; and sisters-in-law, Jane and Rose Sessions.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Simmerman, Randy Coe, Travis Sessions, James Griffith, Jackie Chandler, and Darrell Wright.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tracy Coe, who is serving in Afghanistan, Evan Davis and Alex Pinypzy..

Services for Ms. Oldham will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church in Wells, with Bro. Joe Beran officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 700 p.m. Tuesday at Gipson Funeral Home.
