Minnie June McGuire

Memorial services for Minnie June McGuire, 85, of Lufkin, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2020 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 p.m. until service time.

Mrs. McGuire was born November 27, 1934 in Wells, Texas, the daughter of the late Margie (Mitchell) and William Henry Gates. She passed away Friday, December 27, 2019 in a Lufkin nursing facility.

Minnie was a homemaker and a loving wife and mother.

She is survived by her son, Henry Joe McGuire; grandchildren, Joe McGuire, Michael McGuire, Darlene Santana, Hollie McGuire, and Joseph McGuire; great-grandchildren, Jose Jr., Alyssa, Joel, Corben, Andrea, Jordan and Isabel; brother, Billy Gates; and daughters-in-law, Melissa McGuire and Alicia McGuire.

Mrs. McGuire was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alva Rado “Radio” McGuire; son, James Danny McGuire; sisters, Georgie and Marlene; and brother, William Gates.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
