Robbie Norris Warren

Robbie Norris Warren, 84, of Lufkin, was born December 20, 1927 in Lufkin, Texas, the son of the late Jesse (Gandy) and Russell Norris Warren. He passed away Friday, September 7, 2012 in a local hospital.

Mr. Warren was retired from Southland Paper Mill following 38 years of employment. He was an avid golfer and a lifelong member of Lufkin Country Club. He was a member of Central Church of Christ.

Survivors include his son, Robert N. Warren of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Warren Mueller and Brad Mueller of Monticello, Florida; grandchildren, Matthew and Kellie Warren, Megan Standley, Caroline Mueller and twins, Eric and Emily Mueller; great-grandchildren, Kailey Warren and Paisley Warren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Warren was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ross Warren; and 3 sisters.

Mr. Warren's family wishes to express their appreciation to all the physicians, nurses, and caregivers who have given wonderful care to him over the years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Warren's memory may be made to Central Church of Christ Benevolent Fund, 711 North Second Street, Lufkin, Texas 75901.

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Robert LaGrone, Steve LaGrone, Michael LaGrone, Ricky Bowers, David Bowers, and Max Birdwell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Beaver, Fate Murphy, James Slack, Tucker Weems, Frank Naff, Bob Brown and John Sloan.

Services for Mr. Warren will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in the First Christian Church, with the Honorable Paul White and Marshall Coffey officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
