Robert Pederzani

Robert Pederzani, 62, of Huntington, was born October 16, 1947 in New York, New York, the son of the late Eunice Faye (Arrant) and Lawrence J. Pederzani. He passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010, in a local hospice facility.

Robert was retired from the United States Army, following 23 years of service. He was a member of the Military Police and was the recipient of 3 purple hearts. He was currently employed with Memorial Health System of East Texas, where he served for 20 years in the security department.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Thelma Jean Pederzani; daughter, Elizabeth; sons, Bobby, Thomas and Michael; grandchildren, Sashia and Katarina; brother and sisters, Carolyn, Raymond and Kathleen; aunt, Rubye Moore; and a number of nieces, nephews and other family members.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, JoAnn.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Hadnot, B. C. Bridwell, Joe Delasandro, Bob Walsh, Tom Carrington and Lawarance Bailey.

Robert's family wish to express a special thanks to the staff of Memorial Health System of East Texa s and the staff of Hospice in the Pines for the love and care shown to him.

Services for Robert will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2010 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Mac Duncan officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Cook Cemetery in Alto with military honors.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
