Roger Leon Anderson

Roger was born November 13, 1950 in Woodville, Texas to Juanita (Rodgers) and Winfred Anderson, and he passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022 at a local hospital.

Roger was a loving father and grandfather. He proudly served in the United States Army; serving in the Rangers (Charlie Co.), 75th Infantry, during the Vietnam War. He loved fishing, traveling and riding motorcycles. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Clarissa and Stephen Legg of Wallisville, Texas; son, Dustin Anderson of Lufkin, Texas; grandchildren, Dylan Legg, Logan Legg, Cecilia Legg, and Anna Brouwer; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Linda Anderson of Joseph, Oregon; sister and brother-in-law, Wonda and Howard Stone of La Porte, Texas; sister, Kathy Anderson of Dickinson, Texas; and friend, Catherine Anderson of Lufkin, Texas

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Jennifer Brouwer.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.
