Thomas "Norman" Terry Sr.

Mr. Terry was born December 13, 1935 in Keltys, Texas. He passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Terry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren. He was retired from Champion Papermill following 42-1/2 years of employment in the maintenance department. He enjoyed gardening and farming. He was a member of the National Guard during his early years. Mr. Terry attended Cross Timbers Cowboy Church.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Tammy Terry of Pollok; son, Mark Terry of Pollok; daughters and sons-in-law, Felicia and Herbert Guidry and Donna and George Mancil, all of Lufkin; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Denny Kio of Lufkin; sisters, Rocki Bolton, Michelle Terry Puget and Jackie D. Ramsey, all of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Donna Craig of Lufkin; grandchildren, Amber Thrailkill, Justin Terry and wife Kristyn, Chelsea Ferguson and husband Jeremey, Cody Terry, Jacee Berry, Royce Berry, David Berry II, and Kimberly Berry; great grandchildren, Jaxson Ferguson and Tatum Terry; and special friend, JoAnn Cates.

Mr. Terry was preceded in death by his wives, Marilyn Terry, Joyce Terry and Fay Berry Terry; mother, Lucy Mae Martin Craig; and brothers, Joe Terry Sr. and John Craig.

Pallbearers will be Justin Terry, Cody Terry, George Mancil, Denny Kio, Jeremey Ferguson and Willie Thomas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Terry’s coworkers from his 42-1/2 years at Champion Papermill and Kenny Modisette.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
