Tina Lawson Whitfield

Services for Tina Lawson Whitfield, 51, of New Caney, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Marty Guidry officiating. Interment will follow in the Largent Cemetery.

Tina was born May 9, 1964 in Woodville, Texas. She passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at her residence.

Tina attended school in Lufkin and married Alan E. Whitfield on March 7, 1981. She worked very hard to take care of her family. Family was #1 in her life. She enjoyed listening to music, crocheting, and reading. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her husband, Alan E. Whitfield of New Caney; son, Alan D. Whitfield of Midway; daughter and son-in-law, Angela Whitfield and Dallas Daum of New Caney; son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Samantha Whitfield of Porter; grandchildren, John Jacob Alan Whitfield, Allison Michelle White, Evelynn Whitfield, Tracy Daum and Jayden Whitfield; mother, Ivy McAdams Lawson of Livingston; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rhonda and James Perry of Lufkin and Cindy and Lorne Adams of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Lawson, Jr. and Corina of Trinity, Gary and April Lawson of Lufkin, and Kendall and Lesley Lawson of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.

Tina was preceded in death by her father, John T. Lawson, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Gary Lawson, John Lawson, Jr., Kendall Lawson, Lloyd Lawson, Randall Shultz, Anthony Shultz, Michael Lawson and Eric Adams.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
