Wanda Lou Cameron Thrash

Mrs. Thrash was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She formerly taught Sunday School at Lufkin's First Baptist Church. She was Past President of the Lufkin Area Council of Garden Clubs and was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed working with her flowers.

Survivors include husband, Dwight A. Thrash of Lufkin; son, Dwight David Thrash of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Delesa and Thomas Schumacher of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Mark, Katie, Josh, Lori, Julie and John; sisters, Kate Havard of Huntington and Barbara Boulware of Jasper; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Thrash was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Willie Cameron, Clyde Cameron and James Cameron; and grandson, Michael Schumacher.

Services for Mrs. Thrash will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2010 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Andrew G. Pittman officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
