Mr. Dykes was a machinist at Lufkin Industries.
Survivors include honored nephew, Bobby Treadway and wife, Cynthia; special friend, Clara Hardin; sons, Daniel Leroy Dykes, William Thomas Dykes and Jason Scott Dykes; grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sisters, Sallie Gilcrease and Ruby Richardson.
Mr. Dykes was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby Dykes; daughter, Tuesday Moreno; and brother, Robert Lee Dykes.
Pallbearers will be Richard Dykes, Jimmy Dykes, Jerry Gilcrease, Roy Lee Sumrall, Brian Van Winkle, Sr., and Richard Havard.
Honorary pallbearers will be Claude Hamilton and Garry Treadway.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Carl Ray Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Tom Havard Cemetery.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
