Mr. Justus was a family man. He enjoyed family get-togethers and having meals as a family, almost as much as he loved his family members. He also farmed and loved to garden and coon hunt. He served his country in the Army. He worked for the Lufkin Pecan Shelling Company.
Survivors include his wife, Violet Justus; son, Earl Justus; Daughters and sons-in-law, Billy and Jerry Rogers and Alice and David Armstrong; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, sister, Helen Rhiner.
Preceded in death by his parents; son, Berl Justus; 7 sisters and 3 brothers.
Honorary Pallbearers will be David Armstrong, Wesley Armstrong, Jeremy Rogers, Casey Rogers, Glen Jones and Travis Townsend.
Services will be held at Old Union Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on Friday March 16, 2012 with Luther Bolenbarker officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
