

She was born in Lynn on June 25, 1925, attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn English High School. “Miss Alice” had worked for many years as a kindergarten teacher at Hilltop Nursery School in Lynn and later as a teacher’s aide at Hood School in Lynn.
Alice was the daughter of the late Martin and Victoria (Habashian) Nordigian of Armenia. She was the beloved wife of the late William A. Porter with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. Alice is survived by one daughter, Noreen, of Danvers, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Paul and Leo “Sacky” Nordigian, Mary DiPhillipo, Edith Arakelian, Midge Gatto and Thelma Farmer.
Alice’s funeral will be held on Thursday, July 28th, at 10:00 a.m. at the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prior to the funeral on Thursday, July 28th, at the funeral home.
