Angeline "Anne" Hernon

HERNON, Angeline Anne, of Swampscott, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on April 1, 2018 at the age of 85 at the Bertram House of Swampscott. Anne was born March 3, 1933 in Winchester, MA the daughter of the late Samuel and Marie (Leonardis) Bavuso. Anne was raised and educated in Woburn and graduated from Woburn High School. Anne was employed by New England Telephone Company and retired in 1982. Additionally, Anne also worked as a waitress at the Hilltop Steak House in Saugus, an ever friendly face whether in Dodge City, Santa Fe, Sioux City or Kansas City.

Anne was the beloved wife of William J. “Bill;” Hernon and they shared 52 years of marriage before his passing in 2012. She is survived by her son William J. “Bill” Hernon of Salisbury, MA, her daughter Laura Hernon-Kenny and husband Donald Kenny of Powell, OH, her sister Joan Dineen of North Reading, MA and her granddaughters Nicole, Justine and Allison Kenny of Powell, OH.

Anne loved travelling with her husband to many places, especially Hawaii, she loved to knit, read, sparked up conversations with anyone who listened, and was an avid Boston sports fan.

Family and friends are invited to attend Anne’s visitation on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 4-7 PM at Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street Lynn, MA 01904. A private cremation will take place at a later date.
