Anthony P. Sweeney

Born in Saugus, he was the loving son of the late Albert M. and Jennie (Addrisi) Sweeney. He grew up in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. He lived in Saugus for most of his life

Anthony owned Sweeney Contracting Company of Saugus for many years. He was a former member of Lynn Lodge of Elks #117 and of the Otter Ski Club of North Conway, NH.

He was the devoted father of Denise A. Ciampa and her husband Paul of Peabody, Toni Lyn Kucker and her husband Stephen of Danvers, and Ryan P. Sweeney of Malden. He was the dear brother of Eileen Russo and her husband John of Glastonbury, CT, Albert M. Sweeney, Jr. and his wife Mary Ellen of Amesbury, Bernard Sweeney of Salem, John Sweeney and his wife Sharon of Amesbury, and of the late Mary Royster. He leaves his cherished grandchildren Nicholas and Christopher Ciampa, and Brianna, Cody and Devan Kucker. He also leaves several nieces and nephews including Jessica Revand and her husband Cyrus, and Trish Russo.

A Private Funeral Service will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn.
