Barbara G. Aliferis Cote

Mrs. Barbara G. (Aliferis ) Cote, age 80 , of Lynn, wife of Ernest J. Cote, Sr. of 60 years passed away after a brief illness Daughter of the late George and Mary (MacIssac) Aliferis, she was a lifelong resident of Lynn.

In addition to her husband she leaves her children Ernest, Jr. of Lynn, Gail Somers and her husband Jim of Lynn, Cheryl Potter and her husband Raymond of Lynn, Scott Cote and his wife Thelxi of Swampscott, Douglas Cote, Donald Cote and Barbara “Buffy” Cote all of Lynn, and was the mother of the late Ronald Cote. She leaves 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, her brothers Arthur Aliferis and his wife Mary of Lynn, William Aliferis and his wife Ruthie of Andover and George Aliferis of Maine, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her former son-in-law Frank Ludwig, Jr. and her former daughter-in-law Robin Cote.

Barbara worked for many years in the Lynn School Department as a Teacher’s Aide, until her retirement in 2012.

She was an avid bowler for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Her funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in the CUFFE-McGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. A visitation will be held Thursday morning from 10AM to 11 AM, prior to the service. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
