

Barbara, known to her friends and family as Bobbie, was born in Dorchester and raised in Chelsea and Hingham. She had been a resident of Lynn since 1964.
For over 12 years, Bobbie worked as a nurse’s aide and then as the Assistant Activities Director for the former Jewish Rehabilitation Center in Swampscott. Prior to that, she spent 35 years as a waitress at the Diamond Head Restaurant in Saugus and the Pearl East Restaurant in Lynn.
In her youth, Bobbie greatly enjoyed singing and participating in minstrel shows. She was very involved with Drum Corps and loved film and theater. But above all, her focus was always on her family, especially her grandchildren.
She leaves her children, Teralee “T.J.” Doucette of Walnut Creek, CA, Richard J. Doucette Jr. and his wife Kim of Lynn, Robert L. Doucette and his wife Tara of Swampscott, and Andrew E. Doucette of Lynn. She was the sister to Richard Macumber of Revere and Karen Trickett and her husband Joe of North Woodstock, NH. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Bobbie’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Friday at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Burial will be private. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8PM. In appreciation of the superlative, compassionate care she received at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, the family encourages that in lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory be sent to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 75 Sylvan St. Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923 (online at www.hnsgb.org).
