

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Edith (Weatherbee) Colpitts. She was an active member of the former Maple Street United Methodist Church for over 50 years, heading up several groups and the Craft & Flea Market for over 25 years.
Betty was a banquet waitress for 35 years with Ma’s of Wakefield, Witham’s Catering, the New Ocean House, Swampscott, the Hawthorne Hotel, Salem, and Vinwood Caterers. She also worked for Greater Lynn Senior Services as a cook in Nahant and at other sites. She enjoyed cooking and was known as the “Cookie Lady” to all. She also enjoyed flower gardening and crafts.
She was the mother of Marsha J. Robinson and her husband Dean of Lynn, and of the late Kenneth F. Clinch and his wife Mary Clinch of Winston Salem, NC. She was the sister of Donald Colpitts of Lynn, Gerald Colpitts of Saugus, and of the late Hilda Boudrow, Edith Colpitts, Harold Colpitts, Walter Colpitts, Howard Colpitts and Jean Hughes. She was the sister-in-law to Dottie Colpitts of Lynn, Betty Colpitts of Saugus, Lydia Colpitts of Lynn, and Winiford Colpitts and Lorraine Colpitts both of Nova Scotia; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the grandmother of the late Alyse M. Robinson.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, August 18 at 1PM in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends may gather inside the Boston Street
Gate at 12:45 PM. Donations in her memory may be made to your favorite charity.
