Catherine, known as Cathy, was born on March 31, 1939, in Milton, Massachusetts, to the late Alfred and Eileen Fermano and married the late Ralph J. Robicheau in 1962.
Cathy is survived by three children, John Jay Robicheau of St. Petersburg, Florida, Gail L. Harrington (m. James Harrington) of Amesbury, Massachusetts and the late Christine Robicheau Femino of Lynn, Massachusetts. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Jason Robicheau of Massachusetts, Emily Robicheau of Florida and Kyrra Robicheau of Colorado, as well as two great-grandchildren, Jonel Robicheau and Ebin Bontos, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cathy was a friend to many, becoming a “dance mom” when Gail and Christine were children. She fiercely cheered on her dancers and supported her talented daughters’ dreams all through their childhood.
As her children grew, Cathy turned her attention to the Massachusetts foster care program and took in dozens of special-needs children over many years. She made a huge difference in their lives, often being the reason that so many of them lived longer lives than expected, and leaves behind a legacy of care with her protégées, nurses and colleagues who will remember her fondly.
She was an avid Bunco player with her “ladies,” and relocated to Florida in 2022 to be closer to her son, granddaughter and great-grandson. She enjoyed sitting outside in the Florida weather and getting to know her neighbors and caregivers.
A memorial service will be held on September 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, MA 01904.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to My Brother’s Table, 98 Willow Street, Lynn, MA 01901.
Attendees are invited to share a personal story about Cathy and how she impacted your life.
