Catherine J. Rogers

Born in Lynn, Catherine was the daughter of the late Katherine McBride and Forest Ross. She was raised in Saugus, was a graduate of Saugus High School and resided in Lynn for most of her life.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as an insurance broker for John McCarthy Insurance Company and as a secretary for Lynn Economic Opportunity. An active communicant of St. Pius V Parish, she was also a member of the Sodality. Catherine was active with the YMCA where she enjoyed bingo and dances. She also enjoyed knitting, golfing, traveling, reading, talking politics and taking long, vigorous walks especially along Lynn Beach.

Catherine leaves her son, John F. Rogers and his wife Anita of Bedford, NH. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Jenna and Alexa Rogers as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the mother of the late Kathleen Ann Rogers and sister of the late John Ross.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn from 9:30 – 11:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church at 12:00PM. Relatives and friends invited.
