

Cheryl Ann Butler, the most loving and devoted mother anyone could ask for, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, at the young age of 60. Her radiant spirit and selfless love touched the lives of all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
She was the daughter of the late Ernest J. and Mary Kay Spaulding. She graduated from Lynn Tech Vocational High School, Class of ’82, and received a bachelor’s degree from Marian Court. She worked many jobs throughout the years from West Lynn Creamery, Hilltop Steakhouse, to a lunch aide at Aborn Elementary. She loved spending time with her friends and family, she loved playing card games like solitaire and completing word searches, she was the biggest New England Patriots fan, and her sense of humor could make anyone smile. She was a dedicated member of the Cool Moms club. Her legacy of strength, warmth and boundless compassion will continue to inspire us all, she was the heart of her family.
Deeply missed, she is survived by her two children, Christopher D. Butler with life partner Ashley Pacheco and Courtney A. Butler. The father of her children, David A. Butler. Her older Brother Daniel W. Spaulding and wife Tracy Spaulding. Her great aunt Barbara A. Doyle. Her best friend and caregiver Marcita Richards. Her two beautiful grandchildren, Aiden and Oliver Butler. Along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her oldest brother, Ernest J. “Ernie” Spaulding and his wife Janice Spaulding.
Services to honor Cheryl’s life will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Steet, Lynn. The family welcomes anyone who would like to pay their respects.
