

Born in Lynn and a lifelong Lynn resident, he was the son of the late Amedio Civiello and the late Frances (Prezioso)(Civiello) Sully, and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School.
He served in the U. S. Navy during the 1950’s. Dominic was an engine tester at the G. E. River Works for 30 years and retired in 2000.
He was an Umpire for the Lynn Shore Little League. He was also active with the Lynn School Band and the Cub Scouts. He was a member of Valladolid Council #70, Knights of Columbus. An avid bowler, he was a member of several bowling leagues.
A loving father and grandfather, he leaves a son Dominic J. Civiello, Jr. and his wife Colleen and granddaughter Angelina Civiello all of Lynn, a daughter Deborah Cali of San Francisco, CA, a brother Amedio Civiello and his wife Elvira of Saugus, two sisters Frances Casey and her husband Joseph of Nahant and Matilda MacCauley and her husband Bryant of Orlando, FL, two sisters-in-law Joan Civiello of Lynn and Irene Lewis of CA, a brother-in-law Patrick Ryan of FL, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Daniel Civiello.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 10 AM from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Funeral Mass in Holy Family Church, Lynn at 11 AM. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM.
