Donald J. Holmes

Donald was born in Salem, son of Elinor M. (Cameron) Holmes of Peabody and the late Chester Holmes. He was a graduate of St. Josephs Institute and attended Lynn English High School. He was a resident of Peabody and previously resided in Lynn.

Donald was honorably discharged from the United States Army after a 4 year tour.

Donald was a self employed Plumber and was the owner of Cameron Plumbing.

Donnie’s true devotion was the time he spent with his son. He also enjoyed playing golf, skiing and football. He was an all around sports fan.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his son Cameron M. Holmes of Peabody, 2 brothers Chester Holmes and Russell Holmes both of Lynn, 1 sister Lori Williams of Lynn. Also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins..

Donald’s Funeral will be from the CUFFE-McGINN FUNERAL HOME 157 Maple St. Lynn on Friday at 9:00 AM. His Funeral Mass will be in Holy Family Church at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 PM. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House 75 Sylvan St. Suite B-12 Danvers, MA 01923.
