Donald F. “Donnie” Locke, age 72 of Gloucester, died peacefully in his sleep at home on April 1, 2023 after a long-term illness. He was the devoted and loving husband of Marlene M. (Morra) Locke, his soulmate. They were married for 53.5 years.

Donnie was born in Lynn on February 22, 1951, the son of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Bogart) Locke. He grew up in Lynn and Nahant and was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1969. Donnie enjoyed trout fishing with his children and he loved golfing. He enjoyed watching his son play baseball, basketball and football, and spent many years cheering him on. He never missed a chance to visit the White Mountains with his sweetheart Marlene. He devoted his life to his wife, children and grandchildren. He will forever be loved and remembered by his family, and was known for his quick wit, great sense of humor, and his love of rock music.

In addition to his wife Marlene, Donnie is survived by his two beloved daughters, Vanessa Locke of Gloucester and Michele McLaughlin and her husband Brian of Peabody, and his adored son Daniel Locke and his wife Donna of Staten Island, NY. He leaves behind his dearly loved grandson Jackson Stevens and his wife Kristen of Gloucester, and his precious granddaughter Alison Locke of Staten Island, NY. He also leaves his brother Edward Locke and his wife Carol of Lynn and his sister Kathleen Donovan of Malden, and many nieces and nephews. Donnie was the brother to the late Richard White of Hollywood, FL.
