Mrs. Dorothy M. Fox Lanes

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late James P. and Jeannette G. (Landry) Fox. She graduated from Revere High School, Class of 1946, and from Dr. Burnett’s School of Clinical Lab. She lived in Peabody since 1959.

For ten years she worked as a teller at the Warren Five Cent Savings Bank at the North Shore Shopping Center, Peabody.

Dorothy was a communicant and active member of St. Ann’s Church in Peabody. She was Past-president of the Brown School PTA. She was also formerly active with Cub Scout Pack 99 and Peabody Football Boosters.

She leaves two sons Scott F. Lanes and his wife Laura of Salem and Mark S. Lanes and his wife Patrice of Peabody, a brother James P. Fox, Jr. of Salem, two grandchildren Claudia and Thomas Lanes and two nieces Leanne Smith and Diane Denman.

Funeral from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn, on Wednesday, August 18th at 8 AM, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody at 9 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Visiting hours Tuesday 6-8 PM.
