
Miss Eileen M. Madden, age 72, of Revere, formerly of Lynn, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the North Shore Medical Center in Salem. Eileen was born in Lynn to the late Stephen and Lillian (Barry) Madden on March 22, 1942. She was a graduate of St. Pius School, with the second graduating class and a graduate of Lynn English High School.
Miss Madden had been employed as a supervisor for the Division of Employment Security for thirty-six years prior to her retirement.
A resident of Lynn for many years, she was a communicant of St. Pius Church in Lynn and has resided in Revere for the last ten years.
She is survived by her sister, Marjorie Gerome and her husband Joseph of West Peabody; her sister-in-law, Luella Madden; her nieces and nephews, Eileen Jean Lundburg, Cinda Yates, Michael Madden and Barry Madden all of Iowa, Dennis Madden of Kansas, Joseph Gerome, John Gerome, Darlene Gerome Green and Donna Gerome all of Peabody; two dear friends, Phyllis Wells of North Reading and Barbara O’Blenes of Lynn; many grandnieces and grandnephews, along with many great grandnieces and great grandnephews. Eileen was also the sister of the late Stephen Madden and Francis Madden.
Her Funeral Service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Friday at 10:00 AM. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the Saint Michael’s Chapel, Chelsea Soldier’s Home, 91 Crest Avenue, Chelsea, MA 02150 Attn: Father Mike O’Hara.
