Born in Wakefield in 1924, she was the daughter of the late Calogero and Grace (Gangi) Puleo. Eleanor worked in the former Lynn Hospital and Benson Shoe. She was active in tenants’ associations and in Senior Action. She was also a volunteer for the Salvation Army and Beano and St. Mary’s Church in Lynn, and loved shopping.
Eleanor was the dear sister of Salvatore Puleo and his wife, Darlene of Aurora, CO and the late Filipino and Gaetano “Tony” Puleo , and Tony’s surviving wife, Marguerite of Lynn, the late Mary Bomba, Rose Ryan and Yolanda Signor; and the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful aunt who treated all her nieces and nephews like her own children. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday morning, September 6th, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the CUFFE-McGINN Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Lynn at 10:30 a.m. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
