Elizabeth “Betty” Ann (Murphy) Parr, of Lynn, MA passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on February 26th surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth was the devoted wife of Carl W. Parr Jr., with whom she shared 60 years of marriage.
Born and Raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Mildred (Hardman) Murphy. She was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. She also worked for many years at the Lynn Gas and Electric Company.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband Carl, her sons Michael and his wife Karen of Hamilton, MA, David from Danvers, MA and daughter Debbie Foskett from Peabody, MA. She also leaves her seven grandchildren, Arthur, Casey, Brittany, Jimmy, Ryan, Daniel, Matthew, and three great grandchildren. Her best friend, Mary Gill, of Plum Island, also survives her.
Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends as well as taking her grandchildren on vacations to New Hampshire.
Visiting hours for Betty will be held at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, from 3:00pm - 7:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00am.
