Ethel L. (Pelley) Dwyer, a lifelong resident of Lynn, passed away, Friday, November 13, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Flora (Lepine) Pelley. Ethel was the beloved wife of 52 years of the late Robert A. Dwyer. She was the loving mother of Mary Petersen of Lynn, Jean Emmons and her husband, Kenney of Hampton, NH, John Dool, Nahant Police Chief, Robert C. Dwyer and his wife, Brenda, Michael A. Dwyer and his wife, Lisa all of Lynn and the late Janet Gautreau and her late husband, Robert; the dear sister of the late Alfred Pelley, Elsie O’Connell and Sharon Reed; the cherished grandmother of Amanda, Jarred, Mikey and Brandon Dwyer, Terri and Ronny Petersen, all of Lynn, Carrie, Melissa and Robert Gautreau, Holly and Kenny Emmons, all of New Hampshire; the great grandmother of 10 and great-great grandmother of 2; the aunt of many nieces and nephews and close friend, Chris Ruocco of Lynn. Ethel was raised and educated in Lynn. She was primarily a homemaker, but she worked for GE, Norelco, Building 19 and Randy’s for many years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed music and dancing at the Lynn Senior Center where she was an active member for several years. Ethel’s Funeral Service will be held at the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St., Lynn, on Tuesday, November 17th, at 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the Funeral. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery will be private.
