She was the wife of the late George L. Fitzgerald.
Born in Lynn and a lifelong resident of the City, she graduated from Lynn English High School.
During WWII she worked as an inspector at the G.E.
She was the mother of George L. Fitzgerald, Jr. of Lynn, and of Elizabeth Finneran and her husband Michael of Conway, SC, and the grandmother of Shawn Finneran and his wife Lisa of NH. Florence also leaves 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Francis Sliney, Edward Sliney and Elizabeth Sliney, and grandmother of the late Kim Finneran.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 9AM in the CUFFE-McGINN FUNERAL HOME 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, One Bulfinch Place, #201, Boston, MA 02114.
