Geraldine P. Howard

Born and raised in Missouri, Geraldine was the daughter of the late George G. and Helen (Burke) Meiners. A Lynn resident for over 50 years, Geraldine worked as a manager at Toomey’s Cleaners for several years. She was a competitive person and loved sports, especially volleyball. Geraldine played volleyball in the Yankee League and in the USVBA. She was also very active in the Austin Square Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, Geraldine leaves her daughters; Kathie Ann Ducharme and her husband David, Linda Marie Galloway, and Janice Elaine Barber all of Lynn. She was the devoted Grandmother of Nicole Ellis, Alicia Smith, Connor Galloway, Danielle Barber, Erin Galloway, and Kaila Barber. Geraldine was the loving Great Grandmother of Emerson “Emmy” and McKenna. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Geraldine was predeceased by her sisters; Marie Thien and Helen Hunziker.

Geraldine’s Funeral Service will be held at Austin Square Baptist Church Wednesday August 12, 2015 at 9:00AM. Visiting Hours will be held at the CUFFE-McGINN FUNERAL HOME 157 Maple Street Lynn on Friday August 7, 2015 from 4-7PM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Geraldine’s memory may be sent to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
