Helen O'Connor Farnan

Helen was born in Lynn, daughter of the late Daniel and Helen (Blagdon) O’Connor. She was a graduate of Lynn English High School class of 1942.

Helen worked as a Directory Assistance for New England Telephone Company for many years until her retirement in 1987. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She leaves her three children James Farnan and his wife Susan Hacker of Hamilton, Thomas Farnan of Bedford, N.H., and Janet Farnan of Peabody; Brother Walter O’Connor of Lynn and sister Eleanor Masters of Andover; Three grandchildren Sarah, Eric and Grace Farnan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Daniel O’Connor and Doris Raney.

A private funeral was held from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St. Lynn, followed by a funeral mass in St. Pius V Church. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Lahey Clinic 41 Mall Rd. Burlington, MA 01805.
