Mrs. Irene H. Anastos, a “Lynner” all her life, passed away in her sleep in her home on February 5, 2018 at the age of 95. Irene was the daughter of Minnie Alberghini of Renazzo, Italy and John Anastos of Sparta, Greece. She attended Lynn Classical High School and graduated in 1940. She worked at the GE plant during World War II keeping track of airplane parts.

After thirty-four years of marriage, Christ passed away in 1984. Irene enjoyed reading romance novels, doing word puzzles and playing BINGO. She loved to vacation in California but she never thought of leaving her home town.
Irene was the sister of the late Helen Anastos, Marie Ippolito, Elizabeth Granahan, and Madeline Anastos and her late brothers; Arthur Anastos and John J. Anastos. She was the last surviving sibling of seven children. She is survived by cousins and step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
