AVIS DE DÉCÈS

James "Jimmy" P. Price

Avis de décès de James "Jimmy" P. Price
AUX SOINS DE

Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home

LYNN—James “Jimmy” P. Price, age 75, passed away of complications from Covid-19 on May 2, 2020 at Devereux House Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Marblehead.

Born March 14, 1945 in Lynn Massachusetts, Jimmy was the son of the late James Price and Rita (Carmire) Price. He attended St. Pius the V Elementary School and graduated Lynn English High School in 1964. After high school, he studied Floral Design at Essex Agricultural School. With this education, he became a florist working several years for Salvy the Florist in Lynn. Jimmy put his heart into each and every bouquet he created.

Throughout his life, Jimmy continued to reside in Lynn where he became a loved and respected member of the community. In his early years, Jimmy could often be found coaching Pop Warner Football and Little League aside his late brother, Tommy Price. His love of sports and all New England Sports teams carried into his adult life when he enjoyed spending time with friends in the Men’s Sports Club at Greater Lynn Senior Center. He was especially a long-time and loyal fan of the New England Patriots. Jimmy’s community involvement also carried into his later years as he became an active member of Mass Senior Action, fighting for the rights of senior citizens in his community and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Jimmy was lovingly referred to as Uncle Jimmy by his family. Anyone that knew Uncle Jimmy, know how much he adored his family and all of his nieces and nephews. As the “family photographer”, he was most commonly found behind the camera, capturing the special moments (and funny faces) at every function. Uncle Jimmy loved spending time with his sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews and will leave behind a void to everyone in his family. Among his favorite past times he would never miss an opportunity to support his nieces, Brianna and Taylor, as they cheered at football games. This combined two of his favorite things, family and football.

Jimmy leaves behind three sisters, Barbara Reardon, Elaine Price, and Kathleen Dexter; is the loving Uncle of Michael Reardon and his wife Diane, Lisa Reardon, Kerrie Spinney, Coleen Gage and her husband Earl, Erin Nadeau and her husband Michael, Kristen Wiseheart and her husband Larry; he also leaves his great nieces and nephews, Jake, Brian and Samantha Reardon, Brianna and Taylor Spinney, Anthony Grieves, Jenna and Julia Gage, Ella and Evelyn Nadeau, and Lyanna Wiseheart.

Jimmy was predeceased by his siblings Thomas Price and Mary Grieves, his brothers-in-law, Michael Reardon and Teddy Dexter, and nephews, Philip Grieves and Darren Spinney.

Arrangements: In adherence to the guidelines issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the CDC, services will be held privately. Jimmy loved the Pace Program's activities. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation to Element Care, 37 Friend St., Lynn, MA 01901, ATTN: Melissa Hills
