

We share in the grief of Jean E. (Foster) Lappas, 77, sudden passing on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Devereux Nursing Home in Marblehead. Jean was born in Lynn on April 19, 1947, where she spent most of her life. In her younger years, she attended modeling school and enjoyed a brief stint in modeling, which brought her great joy and cherished memories. She also loved spending time with her friends, creating lasting bonds and wonderful memories during that time in her life. Jean graduated from Lynn English High School, class of ‘66. She was a devoted mother and wife, roles she cherished deeply, and found immense happiness in her family life.
Jean is survived by her son, Patrick Lappas, and her three grandchildren, Wayne Lappas, III, Patrick Lappas, and Lily Lappas. She is also survived by her siblings, Lawrence Foster of Oakland, California, John Foster and his wife Linda of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Evelyn (Foster) Kennedy-Christopher and her husband Frank Christopher of Saugus, along with several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, Edward and Helen Foster, her brother, George Jepson, her husband, Wayne Lappas, and her son, Wayne Lappas, II.
A Visitation will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. We extend an open invitation to all who knew and loved Jean to come and share stories and memories. Cremation and burial will be held at a future date.
