

Jeanette M. (Willis) King, age 91, passed away at Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late John G. King, with whom she spent 35 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Lynn, MA on October 3, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Breau) Willis. Jeanette was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, Class of 1949. She worked at Champion Lamps then moved on to work for G.E. Riverworks for 25 years, until her retirement in 1991. Jeanette was a proud member of VFW Post 507 Women’s Auxiliary and Local 201 IUE-AFL CIO.
Jeanette was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Parish. In her free time, she enjoyed volunteering at the Parish Food Bank. She also loved to knit and would often knit mittens to donate to local schools.
Besides going for walks around Lynn, she loved reading, coloring, shopping and traveling with her brother Charlie. She was definitely the life of the party and could out dance all of us!
Her smile and positive energy created a loving and welcoming environment for everyone. She found a positive in all situations.
Surviving Jeanette are her children, Colleen Barry and her husband John of Lynn, Barbara Collins and her husband Michael of Lynn, John (Jack) King and Patrice of Peabody, Mary Powers and her husband Timothy of Lynn, David King and Lisa of Beverly; her 13 beloved grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren which were the love of her life. She also leaves her sister Claire Zavarella of Lynn as well as many other dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jeanette was the mother of the late Michael J. King, Joseph M. King, and Diane Hoy; grandmother of the late Jeremiah Hoy and Ryan King; sister of the late Charles Willis, Leo Willis, Edward Willis, Rita Willis, Dorothy Hill, Marie Norris and Grace Waterman.
Arrangements: Friends and family are invited to call at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday, July 7th from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, July 8th at 9:00 am at Cuffe-McGinn followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 571 Boston St. Lynn. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn.
