Joan Maselbas

Joan Carol Maselbas, 82, of Lynn, Massachusetts, born in Revere, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025. She retired after more than 25 dedicated years with Christian Book Distributors.

Joan was the beloved daughter of the late Marion Kelly and Warren Barteaux of Saugus, MA, and sister of the late John “Butch” Barteaux of New Hampshire. She will be deeply missed by her children, Deborah A. Baron and her husband Donald of Intervale, NH, and Doreen F. Leonard of Casselberry, FL; her cherished grandchildren, Randelle Borror and her husband Jonathan of Feasterville–Trevose, PA, Jessica Wilson and her husband Josh of Austin, TX, John J. Maselbas III and his wife Melanie of Derry, NH, Thomas J. Leonard and his wife Dana of Sanford, FL, and Christopher C. Leonard of Sarasota, FL; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Savannah Maselbas, Jackson Borror, Brooks Borror, and Leo Wilson. She was preceded in death by her son, John J. Maselbas Jr. of Lynn, MA, and is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Joan had a deep love for animals and generously supported animal rescue organizations. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Classic Canines in Austin, TX, Save a Life Rescue in Orlando, FL, or a charity of your choice to honor her compassionate spirit.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn, Massachusetts, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
