John J. Carr

John was born in The Bronx, NY, son of the late Michael and Mary “Kate” (Brady) Carr. He was a resident of Lynn for most of his life but his early childhood was spent in New York.

He was an Inspector for the General Electric Company River Works for 25 years until his retirement in 1987.

John enjoyed golfing and was a member at Gannon Golf Course. He was a member and served as Past Stewart of the Local 201 IUE AFL CIO. He also enjoyed working in his garden.

He is survived by his two daughters Kelly Cullen and her husband Peter and Shawna Carr all of Lynn, and his loving grandchildren Molly and Patrick Cullen of Lynn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Michael Carr, Jr.

John’s Memorial Service will be in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Sunday at 2:00 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Memorial visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Briarcliff Lodge 112 Kernwood Dr, Lynn, MA 01904
