John W. Patterson

Born in Lynn, John was the son of the late Walter and Margaret (Simonelli) Patterson. He was a graduate of Lynn Public Schools and went on to attend the G.E. Apprenticeship Program. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 3 years and was honorably discharged in 1963.

John spent over 33 years as a machinist for the General Electric. He was a member of the G.E. Quarter Century Club, G.E. Pensioner’s Association, the Gannon Golf Club and Valladolid Council #70 Knights of Columbus. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Crystal Cribbage Club. Above all, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Jean Franklin of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Rhonda Pinette and her husband Bill of Billerica and John J. Patterson and his wife Indhira of Lynn. He was the brother of Guy Patterson of Revere, Robert Patterson and his wife Patricia of Lynn, Paul Patterson and his late wife Carol of Lynn and Wayne Patterson and his wife Kris of Peabody. He was the Grandfather of Jared and Jonathan Pinette and Gabrielle and Tyler Patterson. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rochelle Patterson.

John’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Tuesday at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited.
