Jose Modesto Chavez

Mr. Jose Modesto Chavez, age 43, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. He was born in El Salvador on August 11, 1978 to Crisanta Chavez and Modesto Chavez. Modesto was an avid car enthusiast. He enjoyed driving, painting and working on them. He also enjoyed welding, which he did by trade for many years. From time to time, Modesto would enjoy watching soccer and visiting the lake. He liked to party and gather with his friends, listening to rock music and hanging out. Modesto loved his children and family.

Modesto is preceded in death by his father, Modesto Chavez; and brother Jorge Chavez.

Survivors include his mother, Crisanta Chavez; his son, Angel Josue Chavez Ardon; his daughters, Genesis Chavez Ardon and Alma Daniella Ardon; brothers, William Omar Rodriguez and Jaime A. Chavez; and sisters, Sonia Chavez and Maria Chavez.

Visiting hours for Jose will be held on Friday April 15 from 6pm – 9pm at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St. Lynn, MA. A funeral will be held at the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home on Saturday April 16 at 9am followed by a graveside service at10am at Pine Grove Cemetery in Lynn. We will be entering in the Parkland Ave entrance at the Cemetery.
