Karen Hammond

Born in Lynn, Karen was the daughter of Jane L. Harvey and Donald F. Harvey and his wife Margaret all of Peabody. She attended Lynn Schools, was a member of the Lynn Public School Band and was a graduate of Lynn English High School Class of 1983. She later graduated with top honors from Salem State University. She resided in Lynn for most of her life before moving to Lowell 7 years ago.

Karen was a private math tutor and enjoyed helping others. She loved reading, comedy and possessed a unique sense of humor. She was also an avid Patriots and Bruins fan.

In addition to her parents, Karen leaves her brothers, Brian Harvey of Lynn, Todd Harvey and his partner Natasha Manolagas of Swampscott and Scott Harvey of Peabody. She is also survived by her partner, Keith Trombley of Lowell; one nephew, Alexander Harvey of Swampscott; one niece, Brianna Reynolds of Danvers as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Wednesday at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Memorial Visitation on Tuesday from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Karen’s memory may be sent to Autism Speaks, 1060 State Rd. 2nd Fl. Princeton, NJ 08540.
