

She was the loving wife of Leo F. Wiltshire who preceded her in death in 2012 after almost 50 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Leo (Eileen), Joseph (Jackie) and Peggy (Ray). Cherished grandmother of Amy (Mike), Arielle (Ian), Christina (Ben), Sydney (Ethan) and Blair, Michael (Brandy) and Ashley (Frank). Cherished great-grandmother of Ainslee Francis, Brooklyn Ann, Lincoln Wiltshire, Kieran Wiltshire Wallace, Liam Frederick, Analyse Jane, Hailey Elizabeth and Kaitlyn Marie.
The loving sister of Joan (and her late husband Edward) and sister-in-law to Vera and her husband Jack of WA, and the late Sheila Forrest, Ella Mailloux and Paula Sentipal. She was a caring aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She grew up in the Happy Valley Section of Lynn, and graduated from Lynn English High School and Salem State Teacher’s College. She obtained special certification in Speech and Language/Hearing Impaired and later a Master’s Degree at Western Maryland College for Deaf Education. She worked her whole career in the Lynn School system, where she made many friends and influenced the lives of many students. She was a strong advocate for her students, going above and beyond what she needed to do. She was a lifelong learner, becoming a skilled quilter, knitter and crocheter. She continued teaching in her retirement, as an American Sign Language educator and in sewing. She also taught herself so she could teach basic computer skills while living in Surprise, AZ.
She was a dedicated member of Shoe City Lions with her dear friend Sally Cuffe.
She loved spending her retirement at Sun City Grand, Surprise, AZ, where she and Leo lived for 20 years. She had many friends in AZ, and kept busy with her crafts and golfing. She enjoyed traveling with Leo to the Panama Canal, Hawaii, Alaska, Utah, Nevada, one time driving cross country from AZ to MA, stopping at many National Parks along the way. Several years after Leo’s passing, she and her dear friend Joe traveled with his sisters to Alaska, Oregon and on a River Boat Cruise on the Mississippi River.
In 2017, she moved to Brooksby Village in Peabody to be closer to family.
She cherished her time spent with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple St., Lynn on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 2-4pm. There will be a Funeral Mass on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 10:30 am in St Pius V Church, Lynn, with burial to follow in Swampscott Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn., at www.alz.org.
