

Kathleen Ann (McNeil) Thomas passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023, at the age of 58, in her home, surrounded by her loving family after bravely battling cancer. Born in Everett, on May 21,1965, she spent her life in Lynn. Kathleen earned an associate degree in behavioral science with honors from North Shore Community College at age 50 while working full-time, an accomplishment that made her mother and family incredibly proud.
Known affectionately as "Kathie", she devoted her life to Health and Human Services, making meaningful contributions at Millennial Staffing, the Seven Hills Foundation, and the Lynn Homeless Shelter. Kathie's dedication to helping others defined her legacy.
Kathie was treasured by all who knew her, celebrated for her boundless kindness and selflessness, her altruistic spirit knew no bounds; she poured herself into helping others, giving tirelessly to anyone in need. She found solace and joy in nature and the ocean, often immersing herself in camping, brisk walks along the beach, and deep-sea fishing, where she once reeled in a 28lb cod. Her fascination with sharks led her to experience the exhilaration of swimming with them in Hawaii. However, above all, Kathie's heart belonged to her family. Her love for nature, fishing, and fascination with sharks were only rivaled by her deep, infinite love for her family. She cherished moments spent her Husband, Children and Grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Bruce Thomas, children Joshua Langlois, Savannah (Wesley) Landry, Katrina Thomas, beloved grandchildren Amari Encarnacion, Joshua, Daniel, Aubrey, and Wesley Jr. Landry, her siblings Robin (Peter) Jandrisevits, Paul (Sandy) Gavin, Sandra (Ricky) Landry, Johnny, Daniel, James, David, and William McNeil, along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kathie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jean (Boudreau) McNeil, Mother-in-Law, Doris O’Brien, and niece Angelique McNeil. Her legacy of generosity and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn. Her Funeral Service will be held the next morning, Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 9:00 in the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
