Marc A. Canney

LYNN- Marc Alan Canney, 48, of Lynn, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2015. Marc was born in Stuttgart, Germany, the beloved son of Angela (Cross) Canney of Lynn and the late Roger Canney, Sr.. He was the loving brother of Roger Canney, Jr. of Lynn and Vincent Canney of Dedham Paula and her husband, Mark Galatis and nieces, Emily and Elizabeth of NH, and Karin and her husband, Scott Hudson and nephews, Joshua and Jason of NC; the cherished nephew of Donna and her husband, William Bare of NC, Fran and her husband, Robert Rhine of WI, Deborah Donegan of TX, Thomas Donegan of FL, Paul Canney and his wife, Carol of OH, and the late Roberta Gibbons, and Gerard and Loring Canney; the dear grandson of the late Laura and Robert Canney and Geraldine Leonard. Marc loved the Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots and Celtics in that order. He went to Major League Umpire School hoping to one day be an Umpire for the Red Sox. He worked as a carpenter and landscaper and had regularcustomer s that he would do jobs for. Marc’s funeral service will be held on Monday, August 24th, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethany Congregational Church, 410 Eastern Avenue, Lynn. Interment will be private. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 23rd, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn.
