

Born in Lynn, Peggy was the daughter of the late Thomas and Annie (Connolly) King. She was born and raised in Lynn. Due to an illness at the age of 8, she became completely deaf and excelled at lip reading and sign language after graduating from the Boston School for the Deaf.
Prior to her retirement in 1992, Peggy worked as a Clerk for the GE Riverworks. She enjoyed cooking, hairdressing and the company of her family and friends. She loved traveling and fulfilled her dream of visiting Ireland. She enjoyed reading and going to the beach and ocean.
She leaves her beloved son, T. Bryan Flaherty and his wife Carol of Lynn. She was the Grandmother of T. Bryan Flaherty, Jr. of Medford, Daniel P. Flaherty of Lynn and Scott D. Flaherty of Lynn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anna Bretton, Mary Dickens, Eleanor Conor and John King.
Peggy’s Funeral will be held from the CUFFE-MCGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn on Saturday at 9:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in Saint Pius V Church at 10:30AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment will be private. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8PM. Gifts in her memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472.
